InfraPFiber, fiber mesh for concrete micro-reinforcement, is made from 100% homo-polymer polypropylene fibers (fibrillated bundles). With our high technology InfraPFiber has been manufactured to an optimum gradation for use as concrete secondary reinforcement.
* Principle of Usage
When InfraPFiber bundles are added to the concrete mix at the rate of 0.9kg/m3, they are open
and separate into millions of indivisual fibers through proper mixing action.
These fibers are uniformly distributed throughout the concrete in all directions, providing effective
secondary reinforcement for control of disruptive intrinsic forces.
While the concrete hardens and shrinks, microscopic cracks usually occur.
However they are blocked and prevented from developing into macro-cracks and potential problems when intersecting fiber strands.
And also the fibers serve to minimize the width and length ot those cracks that may appear
in the hardened state.
* Charateristics and Advantages
- Reduction of plastic cracking
- Cost effectiveness
- Excellent impact, abrasion, shatter and fatigue resistance
- Excellent chemical resistance ( rust and alkali proof )
- Excellent durability and toughness
- Providing residual strength
- Reinforcing against water migration
* Application
Parking place Road Runway Shortcrete
Sidewalks
* How to use
1. Application Rate : Typical application rates are at 0.1% by volume without change of
water/cement ratio.
2. Mix Design : InfraPfiber micro reinforcing is purely mechanical anchoring process not affecting
the chemical hydration of the cement. And it is compatible with all concrete
admixtures at normal mix proportions.
3. Mix Procedure : InfraPfibers are added directly to in situ mixer, batch plant and ready mixed
concrete truck at an appropriate application rate. Mixing time and speed are in
accordance with ASTM D C-94.
4. Workability : While the slump value of concrete can be reduced due to slow settlement of
concrete ingredients, the workability is not affected with standard application rates
of fiber reinforcement and no additional water is needed.
5. Finishability : InfraPfiber reinforced concrete can be finished by any normal finishing technique.
